Holiday Inn Express in Holly Springs, North Carolina, underwent an exterior lighting upgrade to enhance its nighttime presence and overall guest experience. The design called for precise, architectural-grade lighting to complement the hotel’s modern façade and create a warm, welcoming environment. Working closely with T.E.A.M. Greenville and the installation team at Live Wire Electric, LITON supplied high-performance Inground LED fixtures designed to deliver maximum visual impact with minimal footprint.
The Challenge: High Precision in a Compact Form
The hotel needed a lighting solution that would:
- Deliver tightly focused beams for architectural grazing
- Blend discreetly into the landscape and hardscape
- Provide consistent, high-quality illumination at warm color temperatures
- Operate reliably outdoors with minimal maintenance
In short, the solution had to look good, perform flawlessly, and support a polished hospitality environment without drawing attention to the fixtures themselves.
The Solution: Inground LED Fixtures with B02 Pencil Beam Optic
To meet these requirements, the project team selected 12 units of the IG16-L12-B02-T30, a compact Inground LED fixture with a 3000K warm white color temperature and a precise B02 pencil beam optic. This optic produces tight, aberration-free beams of light, ideal for accentuating architectural lines and enhancing visual depth across the building’s exterior.
The fixture’s robust design allows for seamless integration into hardscape elements, while its advanced optical performance provides exact illumination control without spill or glare.

The final result is a hotel exterior that shines with clean, directional lighting that highlights key architectural features while maintaining a cohesive nighttime aesthetic.
